This is the boiled down summary of what World of Darkness: Sonic the Hedgehog is supposed to be. Granted, there are a multitude of other characters who may come from happy households and such, but the idea is that as they Awaken to magic, they find that the world they perceive.... sucks. It really Sucks, and the characters transition from enjoying where they are to seeing the world for what it is. Whether they survive in this brave new world depends entirely on the players.

The setting takes place in Empire City, United Federation, continent of Eurish. The United Federation is populated predominantly by humans, with some overlanders and mobians in the mix. Mobians, for the purposes of the universe, are considered to be demi-human - human enough to interbreed with other mobian species, but not human enough for.... yeah, not going to go there. Too squicky, thanks much.

The Eggman Empire is, for the moment, a nation far removed from the UF, located on the continent of Northamer and having the time of its life. The organizations and societies that the Empire represents, however, is everywhere.

The real challenge for me is to successfully integrate all of these elements, creating a universe that works. I'm hoping I'll be able to pull it off.
